Bezsenność: #34

Urszula Szuler

Sleepless nights continue for another month. The soothing sound of instrumental music surrounds us this time.  Despite what appears at the beginning, it is all there for a reason. Introducing David Byrne, followed by DJ Shadow and the new version of Always Ascending by Jon Hopkins. Slowing down with Max Richter, spoken words from Patti Smith and Nan Goldin. Creating this month’s broadcast was very emotional for me. Was it Nick Cave that I feel a massive connection with lately, maybe the soundtrack to some movies that broke my heart a little? Aftersun, poetic cinematography and outstanding Paul Mescal (can not imagine watching it while being a parent, probably would end up with a total mental breakdown). Documentary, All the Beauty and The Bloodshed about one of my favourite artists, Nan Goldin. Or maybe I’m just tired. So if you are as well tired of this season, maybe a little heartbroken, lay down on the floor, close your eyes and let it be. At the end we will all be fine!
