This episode is a glance at contemporary Mexican jazz mostly from last five years. Contemporary Mexican jazz scene is a very rich and diverse with a long history, with lots of different local elements, from traditional folk and Latin jazz to psychedelic cumbia and Latin rock. The playlist starts with a piece by Legendary jazz musician Tino Contreras, who passed away two years ago after 70 years of musical presence in Mexican jazz scene. He participated in what was the First Mexican Jazz Album „Jazz in Mexico”. Other musicians to name are Mexkla, Gerry López, Cristian Mendoza, David Chanson, Onda Road Quartet, ASH Trio, Benjamín García, Gustavo Nandayapa, Brian Allen, Jacob Wick, Federico Sanchez Flores and Enrique Toussaint.
