<p class="a-b-r-La">Today our guest DJ, sound producer and cultural manager <a href="https://instagram.com/pledov">pledov</a> presents fresh tunes from label Polygon Records <a href="https://instagram.com/polygon_ua">polygon_ua</a> and their charity compilation VOLUNTEERS vol.1: BLACKOUT. This is the first release in a series of charity compilations dedicated to the indomitable spirit of Ukrainians. Currently, our families are facing challenges such as living in a total blackout, with no electricity, water, and internet for 40-60 hours or more, in cold buildings, wearing every piece of clothing we have to keep ourselves warm. These are some of the hardest times we have experienced during this war, but we will stand to the end. This release is also dedicated to all the people around the world who have helped us and to those who still continue to support us during these difficult times. That&#8217;s where the name of the series &#8222;VOLUNTEERS&#8221; and release &#8222;BLACKOUT&#8221; came from. Anyone who has supported Ukraine in any way is a volunteer. In the context of this compilation, every musician, mastering engineer, artwork designer, and person who buys the release or a track from it is also a volunteer.</p>

THE VOICE OF DEATH

<p>Odesa is a huge Ukrainian city on the shores of the Black Sea, where about 1 million people live. The city has a centuries-old history, rich cultural life and is distinguished by unique architecture, and the historical center of Odessa is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage. However, none of this matters to the Russians. Since spring, Odesa has been subject to constant missile attacks from the sea, and last month also from Iranian kamikaze drones. The city, which was usually overcrowded with tourists on warm days, turned into a fortress in constant anticipation of rocket attacks and the arrival of invaders. And after each attack, the streets of the city burst with the sounds of ambulances, covering the usual sounds of the sea and seagulls. And together with the change in the city, the music of the local underground was also transformed, responding to the challenges of the times, and reflecting these dark times.</p>

With special passion and interest, she studies the modern sound of the music of the Far East, seeks out the most unusual and groovy tracks from the depths of the underground.
